K.S. Ramanujan, an alumnus of IIT Madras with a B. Tech in Electrical
Engineering (Gold Medalist), has a distinguished career spanning over
four decades, primarily in the semiconductor and electronics industry.
From 1980 to 1982, he began as a Project Engineer at Norton Grind well
Ltd, focusing on electrical system design and planning. His significant
contribution came between 1982 and 1988 at Siltronics (1) Ltd, a
subsidiary of Norton Grind well, where he was integral to India's
pioneering semiconductor-grade silicon crystal growing and wafering
technology plant. Trained in Silicon Valley and Denmark. Ramanujan
managed the installation and production facilities, producing 4-inch
zero defect mono-crystals and wafers, and operated a plant with a
capacity of 10,000 wafers per month.
Since 1988, at Encompass Electronics private limited which he owns
partly , he developed IPs for inverter control and a Pulse Plasma Design
for surface nitriding. Additionally, as the CEO and MD of LeeP eDrive
Pvt Ltd, Tamilnadu, he ventured into HVDC Li lon battery systems and EV
control electronics, collaborating with ARCI Labs for LiFePO4 cell
manufacturing.
In between his ventures, he was Corporate Consultant at Cadence RTL
Computers and VLSI training.
